Asking for permission

we had to ask action borson to see if we could use his song in our video. We first searched him up on Facebook and contacted him asking if we could please use his song for a school project. After that we went online and looked his actual webpage and send him manager an email asking him the same thing. After that we got his record company and we send them an email too asking for the same thing.. we just need to wait and see if he answers and if he lets us. This song will be perfect for our video because it's the opposite of what's going on in the film like this guy is crazy and just killed two people basically and he doesn't care and then the song that comes up with happy and outgoing and this shows the guy is crazy and doesn't care he kills people and he's doing it for the money

Final idea

Yesterday we tried to film what was going to be our final idea but we decided to change it. We have come up with making a mafia movie. It's going to be about the life of this mafia member and how he gets into trouble. We started filming already. We filmed in this abandoned street and you can see the mafia member beating a guy in a black bag and disposing his body. We want our character to be crazy evil. He is crazy in the head he doesn't do the normal killings. When he's done hitting the dead body he moves the body to the Forrest to dispose him. Then he gets in the car and drives away when he drives away you can hear a big hit in the trunk and that's when the guy turns around and remembers that he also has a dead body and then the screen becomes black and the tittle pops up. After that you are going to be playing the song miss Fordham road by action Bronson.

starting to film

we started to film and got some of our starting shots. we went to this abandoned house full of spray paint and thats when the mass murder finds his helper and they talk about how he need to lay low now that the cops are looking for them. we went and we got the shots of the guy driving and him walking to meet with the other guy. i was looking online to see how we can make the car scene more interesting and how we can bring more meaning to it. so i found this website with a video that i really think its interesting and will make the film look more professional. i will need to show this to my group i know they will think its a good idea. http://nofilmschool.com/2016/08/shooting-car-scene-here-are-6-basic-shots-you-should-know-about

before filming

before we started to film we had to think of places where we can film and who is going to act. we would need props to get our mise en scene looked believable. we all had to text friends to let us borrow some of there things to use as props. in the robbery we are doing it about a guy who doesn't have a lot of money and he lives in a nice place. so we had to look for an old house and an old car so it could fit in with our mise en scene. this would make the movie more believable. we are still thinking on the locations that we are filming because we live in a nice little city. i read more about mise en scene then what we learned in class and i got that we should use low key lighting and that a we need to keep in mind space to make it seem more realistic and that we are not setting a fake stage that people can tell is not real. https://collegefilmandmediastudies.com/mise-en-scene-2/

meeting in group

so in class we meet up with one person from each group to talk about what we are doing. this helped me realize that we were behind from everyone else. this meeting also helped me listen to great ideas other people had. I explained to them how my group has two ideas and how it was going to be really hard to film. We have a bank robbery idea but we didn't know how to start the film. the people who i was talking to told me it has to do something really big to get a guy to rob a bank. This changed my whole view on how I wanted the movie to be. when we started thinking on whats going on the film for the guy to rob the bank it became my favorite idea to turn in as a final project. My group is still undecided between two ideas so we are going to film both and edit them and at then end we will pick the best one. we are going to do more work but we want to turn in the best product we can make.

The extra help I needed

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=74BE-_jsEmc

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PnhZXELUmUs

This are two videos that I watch while I was going through YouTube. This videos game me a great idea of what we should have in our opening film. I'm exited to show my teammates this information next time I see them. I hope this will make us put a better opening together and we will be able to make a final decision. An opening film should have meaning and be an iconic thug. This is what makes the viewer interested in the film. This would be the hook in a essay. I really didn't think this would be such a hard option but you have to put a lot of time and dedication into what film opening you're going to do. We have come into problems because we don't know what else could happen in a after the opening scene. Also another problem that we keep running into is that our movie has no budget so it's so hard to make it. We have to decide what we are going to do.

What we want our movie to have

We want our drama film to be an amazing drama film. We want it to be compared to the best. For that to happen we need to creat a characters that attach to the watcher. They have to be realistic characters for this to happen that way they get a connection with the character. This is going to make them feel the story in a completely different way. We want it to have a real life issue cause this builds more of a climax cause people will know what's going on and the suffering they went through. We are trying to show the human struggle and that's how we will make a great film. I want it to be more of an artistic opening and not be like anyone else. I feel like this is an art and you should make something different then what everyone is doing and if you do a good job you will get a lot of recognition. You can't go over board with the artistic style cause then it makes it to confusing and people won't like that. So we still are trying to figure out what we want our film to show and what type of drama we want to bring into it.
